The best thing I did this year is take care of me! After many many years of losing myself in an unhealthy relationship and forgetting to fill my cup, I really wanted to do something that screamed “you matter, you’re worth it, do this for YOU”. And it was at the perfect opportunity when there was one last spot left in the monthly membership! I’ve gained so many friends and confidence from this experience! Avion is incredible at what she does and truly cares about every woman that walks through her door. Even if you don’t have the chance to do this, I hope you’ll consider booking a boudoir session for you and know that it will be an empowering experience you’ll never forget. (You’ll honestly want to do more than one session 😉) The first session I had at the beginning of the year was hard for me mentally. I was not in a place where I felt like I could be in front of the camera, or take that much time for myself. But I’m so grateful for the many hours that I committed to doing something for me and filling my cup again! And to see the changes in me throughout the year has been the biggest blessing! It helped me be confident enough to get back out and date, which was really a struggle as a single mom. It’s amazing to see the things that have followed because of this experience. Don’t hesitate and sign up for the membership or sign up for a session. 🤍 thank you Avion for the best year! I would do it a million times over🤍

I wanted to share my experience with being a Monthly Member this year. Like a few of the other ladies, I had full intention of working off a few pounds and toning my body. The photoshoots were going to be my incentive and reward for doing so. Avion gave three different payment options for the membership, you could pay in full, you could have payments set-up to come out bi-weekly, or you could have payments come out weekly. Now for the fun part... The set list that Avion had created for each month was AMAZING. I myself had a hard time selecting which ones I wanted to do. All the ones I selected, just happened to be at the last half of the year hahaha. We did our first group shoot out at the Salt Flats, near the time for sunset. All the ladies in the membership group that were able to make it were absolutely AMAZING. We had just met for the first time, but acted like we had known each other for a while. We cheered one another on through our individual shoots. One of the members had her husband bring his bike out for her to use as a prop, well th hubby was so kind enough for us to all take pictures on it, and Avion so kind to do additional individual photos with it. I was not able to make the October/Halloween shoot, but the pictures I saw of the ladies were AMAZING, so sad that I missed it. Our last group photo we did, was just last week for Christmas. We did a little Christmas party and gift exchange. I have made some wonderful and beautiful friends for life with these ladies. Sooooo, if you are thinking of signing up for this next year's membership...... I say DO IT! You will not regret doing it. The monthly themes she has look ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have already talked with her about doing a couple of them. I am sooooo glad that I said YES to ME!

Hello again ladies! I am also one of the women who has had the chance to do the monthly membership with Avion McNab, and let me tell you what. DO. IT. for any reason. I remember last year going up to my husband, super worried, and on the verge of tears asking for this as a Christmas/Birthday/anniversary gift all the gifts throughout the year to justify spending so much time and energy into something I’ve never done. I was one who would hide from pictures, I maybe had 3 selfies in my phone all with a heavy filter. The first time Avion asked if she could post pictures, I had a panic attack, like a full on panic about to pass out moment of crippling fear. I reminded myself why I had chosen to do this, and that was to choose to see myself, and allow others to see me as a woman who accepts herself for being just me. Throughout the year, I noticed that the fear and terrible things I’d tell myself, or shame myself wouldn’t speak up as often…. They didn’t go away, but they definitely shut the hell up when I was with Avion, and looking at the different pictures, or when I walked out feeling like an absolute goddess after a shoot. Thank you Amanda, and the women in the group for showing up in all of your kickassness (yes I made up a word) I show creativity with making crowns, bringing props, and just being my quirky self. I have to say my hubbys absolutely favorite look was when I came out in my red bra and leather, lol after 11 years he was like….. wait why have you never worn that before! Ha ha so this experience has definitely lead me into more growth than I expected, and he’s now wanting to do the final shoot with me. I can’t wait!!!! Long story long, if you’ve read this far 😅 do it, do it in your goals, do it to feel sexy, do it to get to know yourself again. They aren’t just pictures, they are the most glamorous journey of growth, and self love I’ve been able to go on. I am sooooo glad I have been able to do so many shoots with the membership, because for me if I hadn’t already been paying for these I would have found a “good reason” to stop choosing myself, giving logical excuses why I didn’t NEED to be doing this. So however you need to, get to it ladies it’s a choice I am so grateful I made, even though that first session was so hard to show up for, what I once thought was tremendously hard is something I’ve grown to love. 🥰

Avion asked us monthly membership ladies to share our experiences with you so here goes nothing. I signed up last year because I knew I needed something for ME. It was also a bonus that my husband would be able to see them. After a few years of trauma and PPD, I was hoping for motivation to lose weight and what better way then knowing you are taking these types of pictures. I was excited! This was the year I was going to get myself back!!! WRONG!!! I have not lost weight but gained an appreciation for myself the way I am. This year has been the HARDEST year of my life. I spent the first 4 months in the hospital daily with my dad. My Grandma died in March with my Dad following 4 weeks later, a month after his funeral my mom was diagnosed with cancer and had 1/3 of her tongue and 21 lymphnodes in her neck removed, I was diagnosed with PSC (and uncurable liver disease), my husband lost his job and the day before Thanksgiving my SxS went up in flames. Despite ALL the bad I have the most beautiful pictures of myself. I have had (and still have) something to look forward to for myself. To remind myself that I am worth it! It also inadvertently created one of my last happy memories with my dad when my pictures were uploaded to our shared family account that played on a screen in the hospital and I got a call from my sister letting me know they were showing up on the one at her house and the Bishop was headed to visit my dad so if I didn't want him to see them I better head there fast. When I showed up (a few minutes before the Bishop) my dad and I had a good laugh!!! *we are an open family and nothing i do shocks them haha* It was one of the very last times I got to see his smile and I will forever be grateful for that! All of this to say... DON'T WAIT UNTIL SOMETHING CHANGES because (most likely) they won't! I have beautiful pictures of myself during the worst year of my life to treasure. I am so grateful I didn't talk myself out of it. Thank you Avion McNab for sharing your beautiful talent! Also, I made some incredible friends in the process and I adore each of them! I am going to add and share my experience with being a monthly member this year. I signed up for this membership having not done any boudoir EVER. I thought, “What the heck, why do I shoot when I can do 8?” I have struggled with my self confidence the last few years like many. Many people do not understand that a skinny person can be struggling with their appearance as well and I have often felt judged or shamed by it. I have been small my whole life, no matter what I do. I have never felt sexy. Being small has made me feel like a little kid. I always wished for voluptuous breasts or a curvy butt and thighs. Being a part of this group has opened my eyes to beauty. There are so many looks and ideas of beauty. It is not black and white. One of the most beautiful things I have seen in this entire group was seeing a woman go and do a boudoir shoot that takes a lot of courage. You do not have to feel confident going into it. The important thing is to just be proud of yourself for being brave and stepping out of your comfort zone. I would highly recommend the monthly membership to anyone who can make it work. You will have so much growth after you have shared your vulnerabilities with yourself and others. I cannot wait to sign up for some of the ideas Avion has put together for next year. It is going to be so hard to choose but so excited to see all the results.

I can not believe this year is almost over ! I’m reflecting on the biggest adventure I took this year. Being a Monthly Member this year has changed me in so many ways I can’t begin to describe. If your thinking about doing the Monthly Membership this coming year Do Yourself a favor, DO IT. You won’t regret it. I remember when I decided to jump into this membership and all the things I told myself like I’d get myself in such great shape , I’d lose (x) amount of pounds and so on. What I didn’t know is I would end up completely reframing my idea of what Beauty is. I think most of us can relate to the idea of putting something off because we’re not the most comfortable in our skin. It’s easy to say when blank then blank. What I gained from this experience was not only some kick ass gorgeous photos but Most importantly a new view on Myself. My idea of Beautiful has changed to be more about how I love Who I am not just how I look. Avion is able to show you the true Beauty you possess and it’s contagious. Doing this with the other members was a blessing meeting such strong and amazing women and being in a group like this is something really special. If your thinking about joining ….. Do it , I can’t wait to see what this next year brings . Thank you Avion McNab your more than amazing.
